Our Story

Sometimes, God writes the most beautiful stories in the most unexpected ways.

It began on the 9th of November 2025 at Celebration Church International during our church anniversary celebration, where we were asked to dress in Avant-Garde fashion.

I decided to wear an Igbo-inspired outfit because I’ve never dressed in that direction before. At the last minute, my sister convinced me to wear an Igala beaded necklace. I was taking pictures when a man walked up to me and asked, “Are you Igala?”, pointing to the necklace I was wearing.

Little did I know that a simple question would be the beginning of our forever.🤭🤭

He was Igala too, and because we lived in a Port Harcourt where meeting someone from home wasn’t something that happened every day, my first thought was simply, “oh my Igala brother”

I gave him my number, and shortly afterwards, he reached out. He had recently moved into the city and wanted to get to know me, so our conversations began.

He was funny and jovial, but also thoughtful and a deep thinker. He was intelligent, intentional and most importantly, incredibly kind. Kindness has always been a non-negotiable for me, and there was something about the way he cared that felt different.

I began to notice it during my trip to Reboot Camp 2025.

I was travelling by road, and throughout the journey, he kept calling to check on me, asking how the trip was going, whether I was okay, whether I had eaten and making sure I was safe.

I remember thinking, “Oh my God, this person is so sweet.” And I told him😂

But while I thought I was simply discovering a really kind person, God was already revealing something much bigger.

At Reboot Camp 2025, prophecies came from different directions about my husband being near, about God bringing my husband to me, and about being married by Reboot Camp 2026.

I prayed with those prophecies and just believed in my YHWH.

But as our conversations became deeper and more intentional, everything began to make sense.

I wanted to show him my favorite pizza place and we made it a date for December 28th 2025 and boy that date!!!!!

What was supposed to be a date turned into hours of questions, conversations, laughter, vulnerability and getting to know each other. We asked each other everything. And somehow, after four or five hours, I knew there was something incredibly special about this person sitting across from me.

It wasn’t just that I liked him. I knew I could love him.

On January 18, 2026, he asked me to be his girlfriend.

And just a few months later, on June 13, 2026, he asked me to be his wife, with the help of my friends. They said we were going for a fashion show and a sleepover 😂😂

We arrived to dropped our bags before going for the “fashion show” and I walked in completely unaware of what was waiting for me.

And then, there he was, my sweet man waiting for me🤭

The fashion show never happened, of course 😂😂. Instead, the man who had first walked up to me in church and asked if I was Igala was standing before me, asking me the most important question of our lives.

And I said yes.🤭🤭🤭

Looking back, I can see God’s fingerprints all over our story. In every seemingly ordinary moment that was quietly leading us here.

What I love most about our relationship is the security I feel in it. His kindness. His vulnerability. The way he allows me to know him deeply. And, above everything else, I simply love him for who he is.

We didn’t know it when we met, but God did.

He was writing our story all along.

And this is only the beginning.
